CYSTITIS

Cystitis is a very painful problem. The bladder becomes inflamed and as urine is acidic when it comes into contact with the inflamed tissue it produces a severe pain. Because the bladder is irritated it wants to empty very frequently - may be every 10 minutes. This is a very unpleasant and disruptive experience for anyone. Cystitis is caused either by infection in the bladder, by trauma as in honeymoon cystitis, or by an allergic reaction.

TREATMENT

Medical treatments include taking antibiotics to attack the infection, drinking plenty of water to dilute the urine and taking antacid powders to reduce the acidity. Treating cystitis with Connective Tissue Manipulation helps to get rid of the pain and frequency by reducing the tension in the connective tissue around the bladder and so lessening the inflammation
